Story
A music film that chronicles the colorful life of Shigeki Nasu (born in Miyazaki Prefecture), leader of the Okinawan band "Yachimun Shigeki Nasu," through live performances and interviews. His songwriting ability is highly rated by experts, but he has been 30 years without a hit song. Even so, his laid back way of life as he continues his activities gives courage and smiles to those who see him. Director Hayashi Toma (director of the third episode of "Pineapple Tours," which will be released with a revival in May) is a longtime friend of Nasu. This film presents a powerful live performance at the Shuri Theater, which was packed to capacity with an 18-piece big band, exploring the unique appeal of Nasu's music. The Shuri Theater, Okinawa's oldest operating movie theater, is also a noteworthy presence as the venue for the concert.
